Reformer, mat and sculpt classes in Byron Bay

Every class is capped and coached. If you are new, say so when you arrive and your instructor will scale the work from your first exercise.

Reformer Flow

Spring-loaded resistance, slow tempo, every rep coached.

The classic studio session. You work through footwork, arms, side body and core on the reformer, with the springs set for your body rather than the room's. Capped numbers so your instructor can correct your form instead of shouting cues from the front.

Mat Strength

Classical mat work with light weights and bands.

No machine, no learning curve. Mat work builds the deep abdominal and hip control that makes everything else easier, with small weights and bands added as you get stronger. A good first class if the reformer looks intimidating.

Sculpt

Low impact, high tempo, joints stay happy.

Our fastest class. Sliders, light weights and small balls keep your heart rate up without pounding your knees or lower back. Come here when you want to sweat and still walk down the stairs tomorrow.

Questions we get before a first class

I have never done Pilates. Which class should I start with?
Start with Mat Strength or Reformer Flow. Both run at all levels and your instructor will give you a beginner version of each exercise. Tell them it is your first class when you arrive.
What should I wear and bring?
Fitted activewear you can move in, and grip socks for reformer classes. Bring a water bottle. Everything else is in the studio.
How early should I arrive?
Ten minutes before your first class, five for every class after that. Late arrivals miss the warm up, which is where the springs and set up get sorted.
Can I do Pilates with a back or knee injury?
Usually yes, and it is one of the more common reasons people start. Let your instructor know before class and follow any advice from your doctor or physio. We work around the injury, not through it.
Is Pilates suitable during and after pregnancy?
Speak with your midwife or doctor first, then tell your instructor how far along you are or how long ago you gave birth. Positions and springs get adjusted for you.
How do I cancel a booking?
Cancel through your booking confirmation or the schedule. If you cannot get it to work, call the studio and we will sort it out.

Still not sure which class?

Call the studio and tell us what you are working with. We will point you at the right session.
